What's an RSS news feed?
This is a way of distributing the latest news in real-time using a simple web-based data format called 'XML'. There's a full explanation of the original RSS (v1.0) standard here, if you're interested in how it works.   :-)

What does Using RFID provide via RSS?
We provide two separate RSS feeds so you can choose how much information you get. The first carries headlines and links only but the second also carries a short excerpt from each article. Please note that we provide subscription-based content so we will never make our full articles available via RSS, so there's no point in asking us: the answer's always no.
 
To access any RSS news feed, you need an RSS reader or aggregator - a software program that collects the information over the web and presents it to you in a friendly layout. Many of them can filter and prioritise news for you too. Please understand that we don't supply that software, and we don't offer technical support either. Again, please don't ask us about it - we won't reply.

You'll need to point your RSS software at one or the other (but not both!) of the links shown above. Please note that despite them being ASP scripts, the output they provide is actually of the 'text/xml' Content Type, so they behave exactly as if they are native .rss or .xml pages.
 
If you try to read them using a regular web browser (or automated page-grabber or 'bot'), you will probably get this page instead (the one you're reading right now). Only real RSS reader or aggregator software is likely to be able to access these news feeds. Please note that content is updated once per day, and anyone accessing the RSS feed more often than that will be barred permanently (to protect our server's resources and preserve bandwidth for other users).
 
No technical support!
If you can't read these RSS feeds for any reason, don't ask us for help. We do not support RSS software, and offer this service only as a favour. We do not guarantee that you'll be able to use it. We do not offer technical support, and will not reply to any queries about RSS. We make no apology for this policy - it's a free service, and the only way it can stay that way is by not costing anything to run. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
