Lowry Computer Products has entered into a partnership with OAT Systems to develop and market turnkey asset tracking and work-in-process solutions for the industrial manufacturing sectors, including automotive, aerospace and consumer packaged goods companies.
As a result, Lowry's clients will be able use OAT's flexible RFID solution framework, which has already been deployed in several industries.
Delivered through Lowry's RFID-certified Professional Services Division, OAT's RFID capabilities aim to enable businesses to improve local processes such as shipping and receiving, asset tracking, and work in process while also delivering better supply chain visibility across multiple and even remote sites.
According to Lowry, the overall solution's architecture enables users to deploy RFID business logic using a lightweight infrastructure while maintaining centralised systems management and control.
"Clients can capitalise on greater returns by using RFID to automate complex business operations to achieve a competitive advantage," explained Michael Lowry, CEO for Lowry Computer Products. Prasad Putta, OAT Systems' founder and vice president of business development, added: "As a provider of RFID solutions, we're seeking strategic relationships with partners that share similar objectives for delivering comprehensive solutions."
Lowry Computer Products is a manufacturer, systems integrator and software provider for RFID/EPC products, wireless, barcode and data collection solutions, operating in the food safety traceability, asset management, supply chain visibility, work-in-progress, track and trace, and mandate compliance markets. The company also makes fully converted Smart Trac labels with Gen 2 inlays, as well as automated labelling systems for supply chain, packaging and RFID applications.
