The automatic wristband identification product maker Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC) is to demonstrate its Smart Band RFID wristband system at the World Waterpark Association's Symposium and Trade Show in Florida. The company says that Smart Band can provide waterpark venues and patrons with automated cashless point-of-sale functionality, keyless entry to hotel rooms and lockers, park admission, and non-transferable patron identification, as well as other customisable applications. The system consists of PDC Smart Kiosks and Smart Readers as well as third party software and hardware as required. Smart Kiosk is an ATM-like booth with a touch-screen that allows patrons to load money using cash, credit or debit cards onto the RFID wristbands. Great Wolf Lodge, a family resort with an indoor waterpark entertainment area, already uses Smart Bands for a variety of applications including cashless payment, hotel room keyless entry, park pass and guest ID at two locations (Poconos, Pennsylvania and Niagara Falls, Canada).
