The consequences of underage drinking be devastating for both venue owners and patrons. Liquor license holders can lose their business if they don't spot fake IDs, and underage drink-drivers are likely to be killers on the roads. To add to the fight against fraudulent IDs, Precision Dynamics Corporation has released a new version of its AgeBand Age/ID Verification System, which verifies the authenticity of driver's licenses and other IDs using special software developed in conjunction with the departments of motor vehicles' credential testing labs. The system scans the magnetic stripe or 2-dimensional barcode of an ID and instantly prints an AgeBand Wristband with pertinent patron information including, "Age ID Verified 21". Better yet, the band is compatible with Smart AgeBand and Smart Kiosk, to enable cashless payment options using RFID.
