UHF RFID device reads 2000 tags at once
Tuesday October 14, 2008

GAO RFID has introduced its UHF Reader Series (GAO 227004). These are long-range interrogators, intended for use in wireless applications such as identification, tracking and tracing, and localisation of assets and personnel. They can communicate with even rapidly moving tags due to the high transmission rate. Preinstalled software in the readers features data pre-processing and communication. The readers feature an adjustable output power which is able to adjust the read/write range of 100 meters (300 ft), and some 2,000 tags can be identified simultaneously. There are drivers for various operating systems, allowing for flexible and hard-independent applications. The i-BUS (RS 422 or RS 485) permits daisy-chaining of several readers to a host interface and also provides for only one connection to power supply and data transmission.
